What this service covers
An armed officer is posted where a criminal is likely to be armed too: cash-handling points, fuel stations, mines, liquor outlets, remote farms and sites that have already been targeted. The presence of a visibly armed, disciplined officer changes how a site is judged by someone planning a robbery.
Every armed officer we deploy is PSiRA registered and holds a valid firearm competency certificate for the firearm they carry. Weapons, ammunition and equipment are issued and signed for at shift start and handed back at shift end, and officers are re-assessed on an ongoing basis.
Armed posts are never left to run on their own. Officers work to written posting instructions, log their shift in an occurrence book, and follow an agreed escalation route — client contact, supervisor, armed response backup and SAPS — so nobody has to improvise during an incident.

Frequently asked questions
Are your armed officers legally permitted to carry?
Yes. Every armed officer is PSiRA registered and holds a valid firearm competency certificate for the firearm issued to them, and we keep those records on file for inspection.
When should I choose armed rather than unarmed guards?
Choose armed officers where the threat is likely to be armed: cash on site, high-value stock, isolated locations, or a history of violent incidents. If the main risk is theft, access control or general order, unarmed officers are usually the better fit and cost less.
Can I mix armed and unarmed officers?
Yes, and most clients do. A common setup is one armed officer at the cash or gate point with unarmed officers patrolling and handling access.
What happens if a firearm is used on my site?
The incident is reported immediately to the client and management, recorded in full, and reported to SAPS and PSiRA as the law requires. You receive a written incident report.
